Eligibility

To be eligible for surgery, your BMI must be greater than or equal to 40.

If your BMI is between 35 and 40, surgery is possible if you suffer from another pathology (hypertension, sleep apnea syndrome, type 2 diabetes, disabling osteoarticular disease, non-alcoholic steatohepatitis [NASH], etc.)

Preoperative assessment

As part of our multidisciplinary approach, you will be asked to undergo a health check to guarantee the best post-operative results :

– Nutritional and vitamin assessment
– Psychological/psychiatric evaluation
– Therapeutic education
– Pulmonary evaluation to identify sleep apnea syndrome
– Functional breathing tests and analysis of arterial blood gases
– Oesophagogastroduodenoscopy
– Dental evaluation
– Echocardiogram
– Ultrasonography of the liver and biliary tract
– Chest scan
– Breath test to search for Helicobacter Pylori
– Mammography and breast ultrasound
– Gynaecology consultation
